CODE OF CONDUCT
National
level team members travels extensively throughout the year.
BAD has always had excellent experiences on our team trips and the team
maintains a good reputation throughout the diving community.
These guidelines have been written down so that all divers know what is
expected of them. This code is
generally accepted by programs nationwide and is supported by United
States Diving. 1.
All diving program participants will abide by this Code of Conduct. 2.
On trips requiring overnight lodging, team members are required to stay
in rooms or areas assigned by the coaching staff. 3.
If members of the opposite sex are in a room not assigned to them, doors
and curtains must remain open at all times. 4.
Everyone must be in their assigned room at the designated curfew time and no one
except assigned roommates are allowed in the room after that curfew tune.
Lights will be out no later am 1/2 hour after the curfew time.
Appropriate curfews will be established for each trip by the coaching
staff. 5.
Use of alcohol or any drugs other than those prescribed by a physician or
approved by a parent or coach are not permitted. 6.
Indiscreet, destructive, disrespectful or any other behavior considered
to be detrimental to the program will not be tolerated. 7.
When certain meets require traveling, the coaching staff will supervise
the travel arrangements and when possible BAD
Divers will travel together. 8.
Certain meets (including New England Championships Regional & Zone
Championships) require total participant support.
All participants are required to remain at the pool site while other team
members are still in competition (unless given permission to do otherwise).
This helps participant morale and scores, and will benefit you as well as
your teammates. 9.
Additional rules may apply at certain meets.
