TRAINING FEES
Training fees may be paid
monthly or yearly. Monthly payments are due at the start of each
month during the season, from September to June. Parents may opt to pay
on an yearly basis. Yearly payments may be made in three
consecutive lump sums in September, October and November (minimum
payment $500). Program fees are still paid if a diver is unable to
attend due to injury or illness. There is no obligation to BAD after
June, however most of our divers do train in the summer months. Summer
fees vary depending on the program and are based on how often the diver
attends.
Monthly fees should be placed
in the "comment box", next to the dry training room door at
Brandeis.
All divers must obtain
membership
with the AAU which
costs $16.00. A
diver’s membership in AAU includes accident insurance and allows divers
to compete in competitions. Memberships are good until
Aug. 31st. each year. You may join for three years at a time.
This may be done on line.

FAMILY DISCOUNT
When two or more family are training a 10% discount on the total program
fees.
ADDITIONAL PROGRAM FEES
There is a travel fee of $25/day for all meets, which covers coaching
fees and team expenses while at competitions. Occasionally we run
special programs which are not covered by monthly fees. These may
include bringing in Olympic divers, coaches or noted sports psychologist
or taking weekend trips to train on tower. Because of our team size
these fees are usually low.
MEET EXPENSE
All expenses to competitions are the responsibly of the diver and their
parents. Meet expense may include hotel, car rental, gas and tolls,
plus the cost of sending a coach and sometimes chaperones. We make
every attempt to keep these costs low and we do a great job of keeping
our travel expenses to a minimal. Often we will negotiate prices right
up to checkout time. Due to this practice, we can only estimate the
projected cost.
MEET ENTRIES
With the
exception of certain major meets, it is the responsibility of each diver
to submit his/her entry form and entry fee (usually between $15-25per
event). Meet information will be posted on the website and is
distributed by the coaching staff.
ADDITIONAL COMMITMENT
All parents will be expected to assist at all diving meets which
Boston Area Diving hosts and will be asked to assist, whenever possible
at other meets and diving functions.
Reflecting the spirit and effort of our program, we ask that parents
should try to set an example in the diving community with enthusiasm,
cooperation and helpfulness. We are all ambassadors of our sport.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS PLEASE NOTE
The coaching staff will make every effort to see that the diving program
participants are properly chaperoned at all meets. The burden however
must lie with both the parent and diver as well as the staff. We advise
that all parents take the time to review the
BAD Travel Code of
Conduct with their divers and to fully explain the sensitivity
and responsibilities that go along with overnight travel.
The purpose of the above is to provide a safe and
effective training environment. Divers must follow these in spirit as
well as in specifics. The coaches are required to adapt to an infinite
number of situations. Therefore, divers and their parents will be bound
to the coach’s discretion. Support and cooperation from parents and
divers will produce a productive practice environment for all. |
