IMPORTANT LESSON UPDATE The Brandeis pool suffered a major failure and we are not sure
when it will be available for our lessons.
As a result, we are holding lessons at Wellesley College on certain
Saturdays when the pool is available.
The calendar on the website shows the dates we are holding lessons.
It is important to check because some Saturdays may be cancelled to
Wellesley College home swim meets.
When we have Saturday lessons, the times are as follows: 13 & under: 10-11:30 am 8th grade and up:
11:30 am - 1:00 pm Please note that if you need to work within this time frame
(10:00 - 1:00) due to another commitment, we can accommodate that.
Our apologies for the sudden change in schedule and for any inconvenience
it may have caused.
DIVING LESSONS Boston Area Diving lessons are held each Sunday evening at Brandeis University. Lessons are open to all ages and levels of divers, and prior experience is not necessary. Many national level BAD divers began their diving career in our lesson program. For the first hour, divers train in New England's only dedicated "dry-training" facility which includes a trampoline and diving board with safety harnesses, as well as a spring floor and mats. This facility gives divers a great chance to learn knew dives safely while being spotted by safety-certified coaches. The second half of the lesson is spent on the boards. Lessons are staffed by several college and local age group coaches, as well as area college divers. BAD's lesson program is flexible and convenient. There are no fixed sessions so you may start on any date. You may take one lesson or continue in the program for the entire year. Fees for one 2-hour lesson are $35.00 and you may purchase 5 lessons for $150.00. If you pay in advance for 5 lessons, you do not need to come on consecutive Sundays. Lessons are divided by diver's age and are held at the following times: 10 & under - 4:00 - 6:00 pm 11-8th grade - 5:00 - 7:00 pm High School- 6:00 - 8:00 pm In order to enroll, you should do the following:
